16 months in, and Cuurve made Snazz Edit's Top Independent 30

I'm proud to say Cuurve has been named one of Snazz Edit's Top Independent 30.

It's been 16 months since launch, and they've been tough. I started this alone, working full-time and building Cuurve around that job — cutting, sewing, sourcing, packing orders, answering every message myself. I've made mistakes along the way and learnt more from them than from anything that went right. That's what these 16 months have actually been: not a straight line, but the real work of getting a small brand off the ground.

None of it changes why I started. Underwear shouldn't hurt. Not "shouldn't be uncomfortable" — shouldn't hurt. I'd lived the wedging, the bleaching, the fit passed off as normal because nobody ever said it didn't have to be. So I built a wider gusset, measured against the high street rather than guessed at, because I was the customer before I was the founder.

Every piece is still handcrafted in Yorkshire, by women-led teams or by my own hands. Comfortwear, not lingerie — I've held that line since day one, through every version of the pattern that didn't work before the one that did.

This recognition doesn't change how I work. I'm still selling from a single rail at 192 Collective. I'm still learning. But it tells me the plain, honest version of this business is the right one to keep building — and I'm looking forward to what's next.

Thank you to everyone who's bought a piece, worn it, and told a friend. That's been the only marketing budget I've ever had, and it's the one that got us here.
